Skilled Nursing Services
VNA nurses provide assistance to patients needing skilled or specialized nursing care for the treatment of their medical condition. Our nurses develop a plan of care to meet the patient's individual needs. The nurse will coordinate the home care program specifically tailored to result in the patient's ability to manage his/her needs and remain safely at home.
Some common skilled-nursing services are changing dressings, caring for wounds, giving injections and inserting IV's. Our expertise has proven successful in helping patients:
- Avoid complications
- Teach self-care techniques for cardiac and respiratory disease management, diabetes management, wound, ostomy and catheter care
- Reduce chances of being re-admitted to the hospital
- Achieve optimal recovery
- Arrange for additional services as needed
Our services are coordinated with the patient's physician, our nursing staff and family members who are involved with the patient's care.
